If you enjoyed Burning Ember you will definitely want to read this. It was great to see these two characters again getting an update on how they are and what is new in their life.Honey Scarlett, Leeroy Will narration was out of this world each hitting tones right on the money. You know just who is talking and what they are feeling. For me they made this audio what it is any other narrators would just not do it justice. Honey takes on the life of all the female roles with Lerroy taking on the male. Their many different voices were outstanding never leaving you guessing who was talking and just how they felt. There are no background noises or any places where the volume are higher or lower or tones off. There was one place where Lerroy repeated his self but no way does it take away from this outstanding narrator. They give you a listen you won’t be able to put down. If they took a break you cannot tell it is just one smooth listen that hooks you from start to finish. They made you feel the emotions at times you even wanted to cry and lord did they make you laugh. There performance was just outstanding giving the listener everything they want as the characters take on a life of their own. Just outstanding narration at its finest. I can’t wait to listen to more from this duo.
It is very short so there isn’t a lot one can say beside I love this author and her writing style. She really pulls you in giving you a very entertaining read that hooks you from the start.

"PERFECT" truly sums up this sweet novella by the talented Darby Briar. I was thrilled to share in Mav and Ember's first Christmas together as well as all my favourite HOC characters coming together. Mav still melts my heart!
I love every single one of them, they are the bad boys you can't help but love. I love the way the story is written and everything the author gives to her readers. We get a little bit of everybody, Luce and Doll, Mac with Will and all the HOCs. A must read, don't think just one-clicxk.
Loved this short story of Mav and Ember! They captured my heart in Burning Ember! This story takes place around Christmas and will make you melt for Mav even more!! If you loved Burning Ember, you definitely will want to read this story!
A short, sweet and sometimes funny little Christmas story that does what it is meant to...warm the heart, stir up a little suspense and bring in the holidays all sexy and sassy.
You have to read Burning Ember first or you will not get all the enjoyment out of this and frankly why would you not read that fantastic full length book anyway? Enjoy this novella now while it is free!

This was an unexpected treat for Christmas! If you enjoyed Burning Ember you will definitely want to read this. This book is like a little extended epilogue and does wrap up a few loose ends for Ember. The book also gets you ready for more from the HOC but not in a cliffhanger-kind-of-way but more of a I-love-these-characters kind of way. I can hardly wait for more!
I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review. What can I say, but the writing is excellent. The writer creates a world with characters that you feel invested in and love getting a further glimpse into their world. The narrators are perfect together with their duet narration team and bring the characters and their world to life. I loved this novella and how it bridged the gap between the last two chapters in Burning Ember, but I still want More. I can't wait for future releases and being able to escape into the Hawks' world once again I highly recommend this audiobook and series.
